November 2015 CatLadyBox Unboxing
I first heard about Cat Lady Box at CatCon LA, which happened this past June (not last November as I thought in the video…) For those who don’t know, CatCon is a convention for - you guess it - cats! I was there as a volunteer helping the Best Friends Animal Society get these little cuties adopted.
Anyway, after we’d gotten all of the cats adopted, the volunteers were free to roam around the show. I took notice of the Cat Lady Box immediately, but haven’t had the chance to open one yet. I’m happy to have finally had my chance! Dorian, the founder of Cat Lady Box, gave me the opportunity to open one of the Crazy Cat Lady Boxes, the larger box size. The larger size includes toys and treats for cats, whereas the smaller, basic size only includes items for cat-loving humans.
The first item in the box was a little plush drumstick toy for Annabeth. I was immediately struck by how adorable it is! Even better - Annabeth likes it too. I gave it to her in the video and she’s been playing with it ever since. The retail value of the item is $5.50.
The second item was a little keychain with the outline of a cat on it. This is a cute keychain and I think the sparkles make it more fun. The retail value is $7.
The third item was a container of Cloud 9 cat treats in a chicken variety. Again, a super cute item! You wouldn’t expect that from a container of cat treats, but the shape of the container makes it decorative on its own. And Annabeth will love the treats, I’m sure. This item normally costs $6.
The fourth item was a leopard cat watch, which I was ecstatic to see because I’ve been in the market for a watch. I was initially aiming for something a bit more professional, but this is minimalistic enough that I think I can pull it off in the workplace. Totally chic and a great way to show off my love for cats. The retail value is $30, practically recouping the cost of the box on its own.
The fifth and final item was a “Cats Are My Bag” tote. I’ll admit I don’t quite get the joke, but hey, tote bags are always useful! The retail value is $14.99.
All in all, the Crazy Cat Lady Box, which costs $39.99 per month, contained $63.50 in items in November. The estimates included in this post are MSRPs borrowed from the box’s info card, but I verified them to make sure they are accurate. Overall, this box seems like a great value, especially if you reduce your monthly cost by subscribing for a longer period of time. Definitely recommended for anyone who loves cats!
