October 2015 Beauty Box 5 Unboxing
When I was on the lookout for valuable, affordable boxes I ran into a coupon that brought the cost of the Beauty Box 5 down to $6 including shipping. At that low of a price, I decided to give it a try. I received the October box, which has a pink theme.
The first item in the box was a mini bottle of Nubar nail polish in the Pinktober shade. Although I’m not actually a big fan of the color pink, I think it works well as a subtle nail polish color, and I might use this for work. The estimated value is $5.
The second item was a sealed tube of Styli-Style Perfect Pout Long Lasting Balm Stick in a dark pink color. Pink is always a safe color for lip balm, so I’ll probably use this at some point. The estimated value is $5.
The third item was a set of Knotty hair ties in varying pink shades. I use hair ties regularly, although not usually in the pink color. I’ll save these for if I attend any events that recommend pink attire. Besides, hair ties are always good to have around. The estimated value is $4.
The fourth item was a Ferro Cosmetics kabuki brush. What a wonderful item to get in such a low-cost box! For people who wear makeup, brushes are immensely useful. And with a value of $25, this brush is worth over twice as much as the regular cost of the box.
The fifth and final item was a Happy Hands HappyFace Makeup Cleansing Cloth. Again, another item I plan to put to use. Who doesn’t use cloths? This one is designed for cleaning makeup, although I’m sure it can work for anything. But because I wear makeup, I’ll probably use it for what it was made for. The estimated value is $4.
All in all, the Beauty Box 5, regularly priced at $12 per month, contained about $43 worth of items in October. More importantly, all or a majority of the items I plan to put to use. Considering I only paid $6 for the box, I’m extremely pleased with the selection. Even at $12, however, I would be happy, and I plan to continue my subscription in the future.
