May 2016 Serendipity by Little Lace Box Review
I originally ordered my first Serendipity by Little Lace Box bi-monthly package after hearing stellar reviews of the box’s great item selection and amazing value. With a cost of $10, I was more than satisfied with the March box’s $40+ value - click here to read more about the March package.
Following the bi-monthly schedule, I received the May box a couple of weeks ago. Would it prove to be similarly impressive?
The first item in the box was a small bag of Annie B popcorn in a caramel flavor. This was a decent-sized bag and the popcorn itself was delicious! I’ve seen that other subscribers received other flavors, such as cheddar, but I was happy with the caramel. These bags sell for about $2.
The second item was a Pack-N-Go Insulated Tote. I currently bring my lunch to work by throwing the individual components into a reusable bag, so this is going to be a step up in my daily lunch transportation. I couldn’t find this exact tote for sale online, but LLB estimates a value of $7, which seems fair.
The third item was a set of two stemless wine glasses. I don’t drink wine, but these will come in handy for holding water and other beverages. I could also see someone repackaging these to give as gifts, although I will be keeping them for myself. These types of glasses seem to sell for about $5 each, although LLB indicates a value of $8 for the pair, so I’ll follow their conservative number.
The fourth item was a bottle of nail polish from Modish Polish in the Kim K color. Unlike its namesake, the color is nice and subtle and I appreciate that I can wear it in a professional setting. I also like that the polish is locally-made and is free from many of the toxins typically associated with nail polish. Furthermore, these bottles sell for $12 each, which means this one bottle of nail polish is worth more than what I paid for the entire Serendipity box this month! That’s not to say I would’ve wanted the single bottle of nail polish as my package, but it’s certainly a testament to the box’s value in conjunction with the other items.
The fifth item was a container of Tuscan Rosemary Sea Salt from the Laguna Salt Company. Salt is always nice to have around, right? The item is a nice size and the salt appears to be good quality - I like the company’s packaging. This 1.5oz bottle sells for $7.
Overall, the May 2016 Serendipity by LLB package contained items amounting to $36 in value. At a cost of only $10 to each subscriber, Little Lace Box has once again delivered an exceptional Serendipity box. In addition to the box’s high value, the selection of items contributed to my satisfaction due to their varied yet always practical nature. Unlike the items in some other subscription boxes, I will be able to put every single item from this month’s Serendipity box to use.
I will continue to look forward to the Serendipity boxes. I usually abstain from long-term subscriptions, but due to the Serendipity’s consistent high level of quality, I plan to commit to a 6-month subscription the next time the plans become available for order. With that being the case, you can expect more reviews of these boxes in the future, and if you like what you see, you should give it a try yourself - I highly recommend it.
